X-ray fluorescence laboratory
Building 26, ground floor 7.
Campus phone: 3685
The X-ray fluorescence system of the laboratory is based on a standard X-ray diffraction tube. It is capable of three different kinds of measurements:
Secondary target X-ray fluorescence analysis (XRF) for measurement of solid bulk specimen (pressed pellets, powders and thin samples). The sample chamber contains a changer wheel with 10 specimen positions.
Total reflection X-ray fluorescence (TXRF) analysis for elemental composition measurements on liquid and aerosol samples.
Microscopic X-ray fluorescence (micro-XRF) analysis for recording two- and three dimensional elemental distributions.
Air quality measurement container
In front of Building 26
A thermally isolated measurement container is operated in cooperation with Technoorg-Linda Ltd. It is capacle of testing diverse equipments for air quality measurement and monitoring.
